Hello! Just call me Travis or december.
I'm a 27 year old idiot who got a degree in psychology. Currently living in Houston, TX. Hopefully I'll nab a computer science degree someday; programming is way more up my alley.
I was the main data editor for the starcraft 2 mod called Starbow. Had a large hand in some other mods sc2 mods like Raze https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMl88JpBanE (which didn't really take off but was a great learning experience). Tinkering around with Unity is fun but could ever get the motivation to take it any further, really wish I had spent all my time modding sc1 and 2 learning a more universal programming language like c++ or jS instead.
I've been gaming since dos/pre-windows. Lemmings and the first C&C got me hooked hard. Got a crappy e-machines so I wouldn't have to share Starcraft 1 time with my brothers and kept upgrading it till no original part remained. If there is a genre of game I have probably played a few or more in it. FPS was especially a big love of mine. Doom, the unreals, quake, CoD1 through CoD4, CS, Tribes and the hordes of console fps's released on various systems.
Lately I've been playing csgo and ignoring everything else as I can't quite beat how complex and nuanced the game is with other titles. A giant rabbit hole of skill that never refuses to teach me one new thing every time I play. You've got athleticism in its aim and movement, a high degree of mind games, so many tiny tricks you can learn and abuse. Hit me up if you are LE-SMFC and want to play some ESEA or just chat about vidya. decemberscalm I love teaching csgo as well if you're interested.
Arms of Telos looks like a brilliant innovative mix between classic arena shooters, tribes, and even teamwork elements of a moba. I'm hoping it takes off and is able to achieve success, you never really know in the video game industry.
