Adding a spinup and spindown time to the MC would make for the overheat mode actually being a downside and something to keep in mind as you fired.

Of course swapping weapons would potentially negate some of the spindown but would at least let the heat build up mechanic for the MC function as intended.

Firstly, I don't disagree that there should be some deterrent to scripting an auto-click script. No qualms there.

What I will say is that as it is, I am constantly in fear of the overheat mode as I play. With every moment I use the weapon I am in fear of the overheat mode. Go over 4 shots and you can't do bursts of the weapon with good accuracy as a couple of sets later and you're overheating.

The problem has been identified -- just haven't fixed it yet. The problem is it instantly cools down when you let go. Solution could be as simple as having a delay before it starts cooling down, so rapidly clicking is the same heat as holding it down (except it doesn't fire as fast). I've been playing as intended (burst fire) and I mostly like where it is -- overheat has its uses, but I felt like the limit made it less spammy. Overall happy with where it is, but need to fix this exploit (probably next patch) and maybe play with thickness more.

For those unfamiliar with the problem, clicking quickly meant no overheating.

Ha, it was actually caused by something else. The first shot wasn't adding any heat, so you could keep firing single shots with no penalty. That's also why you didn't see muzzle flash. After fixing that, I didn't need to add cooldown delay.
