I have not heard of papercraft as a style before, but it does look pretty low-poly to me - even lower poly count than the current models are, but certainly of a similar art-style. Your humanoid there looks great! It's surprising how much detail can be given to it with so few resources, though from what I've heard, Telos will remain as mechs.
Weapons look really neat. Again, probably needs more polys in order to be able to put enough detail into them. Currently the weapons in Telos have enough detail on them to put reloading timings/overheating mechanics/fire intervals/alt-fire timers sort of "indirectly" visible as some kind of indicator on the weapon itself for better user feedback, and I think these would be too low-poly to be able to do that with.. that said, they do look pretty cool Maybe the look of these will inspire new weapon ideas inside JP, who knows!
