Defending the flag in Arms of telos can be very challenging. Here are some tips I have to share about that
1: Speed gates are a neccessary equipment. You want to deploy speed gates on all exit points to your flag base so that You can always have speed to catch up to your opponent. If you don't get this speed it will be difficult to kill the flag carrier.
2: In the first firewall (The flags switch bases as each firewall is broken) You want to watch more than just the main entrance. Often, the enemies will grapple hook around the first firewall gravity zone and come in through the back. Or, in the last firewall, they could come through the small opening in the ceiling and sneak the flag out.
3: You should always try to have a shield sphere on the flag. These slow the enemy down and stop them from getting out at high speeds. (You should have a speed gate and your teamate should have the shield sphere).
4: All the weapons are good for defending (as it should be), but these are the ones I reccomend: Multi cannon and teleport blade. The semi auto mode of multi cannon is very good for sniping enemies before they get close to the flag stand. The teleport blade can instagib enemies so a skilled shot on a capper will stop him in his tracks very quickly.
5: Teams in Arms of telos are 5v5 (though its possible to play with less people). So you want to have 2 people defending, 2 people attacking, and 1 person in the midfield fragging incoming attackers and if needed attacking the enemy flag.
Here are some tips about offense.
1: In offense, you want one player to support and destract while the other comes in to take the flag. The support should player should probably have have Light of Apollo and grapple as equipment and whatever weapons he/she chooses.
2:The support should try and get there before the capper gets there. Supports should focus on destroying any sheild spheres and speed gates, and then try to kill the defenders. Communication from teammates is very helpful on offense.
3: As a capper, You can choose between a speed gate or shield. Speed gates are good when you want to come in fast without going to the gravity zone. Shield is good to deflect incoming fire and especially teleport blade sticks.
4:When capping, its important to remain unseen, fast, switch up directions in which you come for the flag, and get out the quickest way.
